Luke Donald is currently #3 on the money list, which isn’t quite the #1 that some predicted, but is still an amazing feat.

I found a personal trainer that is apparently also offering golf lessons.
I have to wonder if this type of approach can wind up doing more harm than good?
I recommend that any student make sure that his golf teacher is well versed in the correct fundamentals before undergoing any type of lessons.
Is carrying a phone on the golf course now acceptable? This
article seems to think so.
Mike Pederson has written a great article on how to FEEL the pivot in the golf swing.
Some choice quotes:
Because I have struggled for years to initiate my downswing with my legs (hips), I now have adopted what I call a “body” pivot in my downswing. What I really focus on is holding my angles. The two most important angles for me personally is my upper body angle in my hip joint, and my right wrist angle.
What I want to do is come up with a swing method that is simple to do and more important, FEEL. You’ve got to be able to visualize it and get the right FEEL to successfully do it on the course when it matters.
Of course, being the inventor of the PivotPro training aid, I agree with him! I believe that there is no better way to FEEL the pivot than by using PivotPro.
Also, my FlatWristPro trainer (bundled with PowerLagPro) is an invaluable way to control that right wrist angle. Using these two trainers can save you years of frustration in developing your swing.
Greg Norman is apparently not impressed with Tiger Woods’ new golf swing.
A great step-by-step slideshow of Tiger’s new swing appears here.
What do you think? Should Tiger abandon his new swing, or stay the course?
We are pleased to see yet another PGA instructor find our products useful. In this video, PGA instructor Jason Sutton reviews and demonstrates our training aid, “FlatWristPro”.
FlatWristPro helps train your wrist to be in the proper position for an effective golf swing.

David Leadbetter is known for his emphasis on the swing plane. His popular SwingSetter product reflects that commitment.
There is no doubt that the swing plane is an important indicator of your golf swing. But this article shows how there is no one “correct” swing plane; it varies based on the build of the golfer.
Here are some choice quotes from the article:
You can easily see that Tiger’s legs are noticeably longer than his upper body length compared to Ben Hogan. Because of this, Tiger’s swing is naturally more upright than Ben Hogan’s. Also, Tiger is 6′ 2″ while Ben Hogan is 5′ 8″.
The bottom line is, you need to build a consistent golf swing, not a swing that depends on lines drawn on the computer.
Now, I’m not suggesting you throw away your SwingSetter, or stop listening to David Leadbetter. What I AM suggesting, is that you view the swing plane as a reflection of correct fundamentals: footwork, loading, coil, and pivot.
Rather than choosing one method or the other, you would be well served to develop correct lower body fundamentals, and then use your SwingSetter to monitor how you are doing.
I’m going to ask a difficult question: why do pros tend to use the same golf clubs for years, while amateurs are always looking to “upgrade” their clubs?
Perhaps because pros know that the secret to low golf scores is to swing the club correctly.
In this video, PGA Instructor Jim McLean demonstrates how easy it can be to develop a consistent, powerful swing. Many training aids focus on weighting down the club, or allowing you to see swing plane faults as they occur.
But no other training aid on the market today will help you with pivot-related faults as PivotPro does. The slightest faulty motion of the lower body (incorrect pivot) has a tremendous impact on the golf swing. PivotPro guides the golfer into the correct position, providing feedback through its unique removable rod.
Ben Hogan understood the importance of the correct pivot, and Tiger Woods has said that he wished he could “own” his swing the way Hogan did. Watch this video and let Jim McLean show you how you can pivot like Ben Hogan.
